That would be great, however my understanding is that it is a privately owned plantation, could be managed by NRW though? Could get a fairly long stage in there.

Private ownrship might not be a barrier to use if the owners were happy with a road re-instatement plan similar to the Rally4Wales scheme used on NRW plantations.
We'll just have to wait and see what's announced.

I see Jon Armstrong has been drafted in to the M-Sport Team (BRC) for Rali Ceredigion.

Interesting to see how Garry Pearson goes after this...

'Recently heading out to France for coaching with former World Rally Championship driver Eric Camilli, Pearson has maximised his preparation as he bids to score important BRC points, and also help his M-Sport team-mate Jon Armstrong in the ERC.'

Big time loss by Meirion Evans on Y Diafol this morning. Will Creighton should have the BRC Title in the bag now.

Hitting a bird and a gatepost in the same stage - just hoping no radiator damage. Fantastic time though, would have been a big stage win without the spin.

The organising committee of the Malton Forest Rally regret to announce that this year’s event has been cancelled due to the ongoing wildfires in Langdale Forest. Following discussions with Forestry England there has been significant damage to the forest tracks in the forest complex and this will not be repaired in time for this year’s event.

With no additional forestry land available to replace the affected stages, the committee carefully considered all options and concluded that it would be better to cancel the rally than to deliver a substandard event.

While it is deeply disappointing to cancel this year’s rally, we are already looking ahead to the future. The Malton Forest Rally will return on Sunday, 1st November 2026.

There is other forestry, rallying just can't use it - and the Trackrod have managed to salvage their event; a few events a year now, and we're lucky to get that. A shame they couldn't even run a Rally Sprint - as this event originally was - only one venue needed.

Is there a better sound than that of Porsche engined Flat-6 ???
