    It seems Dirtfish has evolved and doesn't want to receive so much hate anymore in the comments. This time they didn't post anymore the teaser for the driver ratings.

    Yes, Tänak got extra points from his Fourmaux's retirement, but so did Rovanperä. From that perspective, if it were ONLY to give extra points to Tänak, some kind of time penalty could be enough. So I guess points for Tänak was not the only factor for the retirement.

    Revelation: Hyundai shamelessly played into Ott Tänak’s hands

    Hyundai’s Adrien Fourmaux has opened up about the events of Rally Paraguay:

    Initially there was speculation that Fourmaux’s retirement had been due to Hyundai wanting to change so-called sealed parts on his car before Rally Chile, but now Fourmaux himself has directly revealed that this was not the case.

    “At the end of the rally, the retirement was clearly intended to give points to Ott,” Fourmaux said, according to the French website Rallye-Sport.
