Great attendance and viewing figures for Rally Finland. The Power Stage got 56% of the market share on Finnish television !

Which is a poor example in all honesty, and typical of sports which are struggling. What about the rest of the world? It's the same in Cyclocross, with Belgian TV recording record figures during the World champs weekend.....All too insular and ignoring the rest of the world.

Is there a better sound than that of Porsche engined Flat-6 ???

Did this event set a new standard for Super Sundays in the World Rally Championship ? Most drivers were happy with it except Elfyn Evans:

It proves free-to-air is the way to get WRC seen and watched, even if just the Power Stage.

Not to forget that most of the views are thanks to Kalle going for his first win..
If he was on any other place, the numbers would have been different..

But numbers are numbers and if they are good for organising next year's event and bring new fans, then all good!

tbf, FIA itself and big event promoters are losing the opportunity of creating a "world rally sprint championship" doing something like that. one stage, everybody (fans) on the same place to watch. but make it 4 runs, two in each direction. sum up the times and thats it.
add a gymkahana style (with eliminations) competition on saturday night, under the lights, in the middle of the city to determine the road position for sunday.
i dont see how a world rally sprint series would not help to bring new eyes into the wrc. not all of them, for sure, but some would, no doubt on that
