Brad Pitt’s ‘F1 Movie’ Leaves Keanu Reeves’ $447 Million Blockbuster in the Dust at the Global Box Office
Having already established itself as the highest-grossing film ever produced by a tech company, Apple’s F1 is racing towards the coveted $500 million milestone at the global box office. In its fourth weekend of release, the movie zoomed past the $450 million mark thanks to another solid hold, despite fresh competition from a trio of new releases that all underperformed. Starring Brad Pitt, F1 remains in a contest with holdover hits such as Jurassic World Rebirth and James Gunn’s Superman. In a few days, it’ll have to fend off additional competition from Marvel’s The Fantastic Four: First Steps. But it can bask in the glory of becoming the year’s biggest original blockbuster, having overtaken Ryan Coogler’s Sinners.

Glad to see that it is doing well. It might help expand the viewership and grow the sport. I'm actually surprised that it is doing as well as it is, but you just never know with movies.
And as much as some seem to dislike it and claim it brings in uninformed new viewers, I think Drive To Survive has helped the sport quite a bit as well. And in my experience, the new generation of fans are no less informed than a lot of the fans that have been watching for decades. Some dig into every detail and all the data, some just watch the racing. But in the end, new fans are new fans and a good thing.
