Fantastic weekend for the WRC, exactly what the sports need. An unexpected winner, that also shows some personality and emosions, perfect!

Its also make one think, what could all the other talents that tried and not sucseed in the Hyundai all this years managed in the Toyota?

Stat-fact, 53 500 unique spectators for Rally Estonia

    https://sport.delfi.ee/artikkel/1203...53-500-inimest

For the context: Estonia has only 2 cities that have a population more than that.

Based on the article, around 40 000 Estonians were spectating on site, which is around 3% of the entire population of Estonia.

I'm still a fan of him, but he should have learned how to drive different rallies 10 years ago. He could have been a multiple champion by now.

That's not very many is it. 13.5k foreign visitors is particularly poor. It looks like a fantastic event and beautiful country on the TV coverage. Maybe it's the close proximity to another country that puts people off visiting? I certainly does for me. Such a shame.

I don't think it is a poor result and also I don't think that one certain country keeps visitors away from Estonia. Most of the visitors are coming from countries (Finland, Latvia) that have the same neighbor.

Being a visitor during the weekend, I think South Estonia has some reasonable limits - it was quite crowded already. To put there 2 times more, I think it is not enjoyable and manageable.

    what?

thats a good result. our country is very small, its not even thinkable to host 100k 0r 200k visitors even if the stages were all over estonia, we wouldnt manage it.

already with this 53500 there was quite a much traffic and jams. first time ever that i also was in traffic jam during this rally and even two times.
