Fantastic achievement in Estonia and just goes to show that the same rule applies as in most sports in that its about practice, practice and more practice and not just talent. Oliver has had more seat time testing and on events than any other driver his age I can think of so good to see that come to fruition. Also the move from the Fabia to the Yaris in Rally 2 probably didnt hurt..

Will Oliver get more Rally1 chances in 2025, are there any signals?

Is there any certainity that Oliver will get a seat in 2026? Like where? Katsuta is Japanese, Evans and Rovanpera probably won't move and Ogier will probably still do some rallies, we don't know? Will they bring 6 cars or just bench Pajari or just rotate Pajari x Solberg? So many questions, so many drivers and not so many cars to drive.. Both Pajari and Solberg definitely deserve full season, and I have to say it, Katsuta doesn't deserve Rally1 seat IMO.. He is fast, but can't catch the speed of the best guys on Friday and if he eventually does, he crashes.

To me.. If Pajari doesn't bring podium this year, I don't see him having full time seat in 2026.. but Toyota is Finnish, so most likely he stays..

There is a known cliché - you can not make a reliable driver fast, but you may make a fast driver reliable.
Oliver's past is quite clearly "fast but not reliable". We can see at the moment that the speed is still there, and reliability is being learned. He achieved with the Rally Estonia more than many Rally1/WRC drivers have done with their entire career. He dominated and took the win; it was not gifted to him because of problems or mistakes by others.
This is a statement for team bosses. We don't know what is already agreed, but at the moment, it is hard to imagine the situation if he is not a full-time driver for the next season (if the teams are still in the game).
As a bonus, Solberg by default is a good marketing asset for the team because of his social media presence.
This year, he needs to finish "the WRC2 job".

I just feel we can't make the conclusion too quickly, As we can still remember the beautiful two events performance from Sesks in last year,And then sesks became a normal guy till now with no more surprise.
We should wait and see the following behavior from Mr Solberg to check if he can continue to show the speed and consistent

Not many were expecting Lando to lead the drivers' championship with four race remaining in the season at the summer break but here we are. It is now very much a genuine three way race for the title...
