When did Tanak slow down in Hyundai? In CER last year he was told not to go flat out in one stage. Hyundai didn't even tell him to let it go in Japan and bring it home for the manufacturer title.
In Acropolis 2022 Tanak was 70+ points behind Kalle with 4 rounds to go. Kalle in Acropolis had 203 points, Tanak finished the season with 205 points, 4 rounds later. That's how big the title chances were. If you put it into prespective, Thierry has more chances this year than Tanak in 2022.
And tomorrow both Tanak and Neuville will push regardless for the Sunday and PS points, so whether or not Neuville is there, Tanak has to go flat out and take some risks to get bonus points.

I don't think Thierry has real chances this year, but you mean to tell me that Tanak in 2022, with the most unrealiable car in recent memory and 72 points behind dominating Kalle with tank Yaris, with 4 rounds to go, had chances for the title? Not even close.
Be real and take off the nationalist glasses.

I have to say I am really impressed by Oliver. Before the start I thought it would be good for him if he just earned some top3 times, and finish the rally in top5. I mean he was carrying the RC2 car on his back literally for the last two years, he could have been quicker but he felt that the car was holding him back. I felt the same sensation when driving a lower class cars in some rally game. Like "oh come on I could have done this stage a minute faster with a better car". And I have not even once driven a rally car myself in real life. Now that he has tried the WRC car he knows that he is as fast as the top3 drivers in the world. Let's hope he will win the event and earn a contract for next year. It definitely will not be Hyundai but perhaps Toyota? Instead of Pajari? Because Taka will stay in Toyota until he is 60 years old or smth.

Hasn't been any rain on Sunday stages yet right? Looks like it might hit 18 around 10 according to windy, hard to tell and no radar on YR for this area
I planned almost all my stages they would be damp"Die with memories, not with dreams" Scott McIsaac

I am close to the stages and it has rained overnight a little but it’s just little. Should make the sand compact and the grip even better.
But not sure if it has been the same also on the stage.
Btw engine change for Tänak for “caution”
