PR-wise that would be smart, Hyundai would get more media in Spain for sure. Maybe also run Lappi in Fnland?

Just a few reflections from the weekend.

After Sweden, and with Toyota's traditionally strongest event next - Safari Rally - you have to hope there will be a big upset in Kenya. Otherwise the season may be lost before the summer.

Two consecutive 1-2 Toyota results, and confirmation that Hyundai will not field their new car in Kenya, doesn't inspire confidence. Tanak and Neuville are undoubted A-listers, while Fourmaux is proving he has stepped up. If that trio can't keep up, 2025 will be tough to watch.

Beauty about Rallying, though, is one tweak and a host of gravel events to follow may tilt that before the late asphalt rounds later on. I certainly do hope there will be a twist. . .

Nope. Not saying it won't happen, but it hasn't been confirmed.

Just imagine if the calendar was like the one proposed in 2020 (before Chile went off & Covid interrupted) but with a spring Tarmac event like the year before, then perhaps the outcome would be different. However since that’s not the case I sincerely hope that whatever failures Safari will bring upon Hyundai (let’s face it, they’re not the ones who’ll finish with a 1-2 over there although I’ll gladly eat my hat if proven wrong) they’ll bounce back afterwards.
Only you know your true potential.

I'm worried guys that Toyota will lead by almost 80 points after Safari, which is just impossible to catch.. Kenya is crucial for Hyundai, they can't do a disaster rally like in every other years.. Then Canarias, where I think that Evans and Ogier will be strong..

For now it's 48 points lead and 12 rounds to go. Last year Toyota score 44 points in Kenya and Hyundai only 4 point less. Toyota started good but come on, it's february.

Exactly, it’s only February and just two rounds so far.

The Sweden result could have been different if Tänak not having the issues on Saturday and he would have won or Thierry had and there wouldn’t be this talk at all here.

I’m not sure Canarias suiting only Evans and Ogier. Thierry is always good on tarmac and Tänak was very good on two last pure tarmac events last year.

Anyway, too soon to make all the conclusions at the moment.
