Without the road accident in Poland, Ogier would be the favourite for the title. He could still be, depending on how Greece and Chile goes. Right now, Neuville appears to be the strongest.

Fourmaux himself explained why it's a great effort and result by him here...
"I'm really pleased it ended up like that after a difficult start for us with no test and no preparation. The fourth podium is always good, especially in Finland."

Very positive result for Neuville. Now, the only thing he needs is an Ogier DNF, but good luck with that
Apart from that, championship is very open still. One technical trouble or a mistake and someone's going to be level with Thierry, or almost. Rough Acropolis is yet to come, slippery and wet asphalt is yet to come.

The only thing that can deny Neuville WDC is his own head, and the car.

So after opening the rally 5 times in a row, neuville increased his lead over evans from 6 points to 34. His lead over tank decreased from 33 to 29.
But his lead over ogier decreased from 41 points after croatia to 28 after finland.
But now ogier will be second on the road in greece, so let's see how fast he will be without position advantage.

Odd words from Seb at the end "I have to see if we do a full campaign but it looks like I have no other option. It is not my priority anymore but we'll see."
Is he contractually obliged to do more events if Toyota require it?

Well, that was a dramatic rally. Thank you, mighty rain gods.
It was a terrible rally for an Evans fan like me. I thought he was generally driving well, as I hoped since he's good at Finland and rain. But there was the technical issue, and then on Sunday he had no Saturday to lose and things were a bit desperate in the championship and he went too fast and binned it.
Tanak, maybe even worse, he just went off early.
Fourmaux did a proper professional drive, he continues to look like a driver worth (re)hiring.
Rovanpera looked like the boss until there was a rock in the road. Ogier and Neuville both looked very good in their circumstances.
Lappi... oi. He's quick, but not quite reliable enough. For years, I thought he looked like he could be good with another 25 rallies to build experience/consistency. But now I feel like he's had all the chances he deserves. He's on borrowed time now.
Solberg has been looking like a consistent pro, who would be worth a try in WRC1 if somebody needed a third driver who might move up later.
Pajari managed to crash without crashing, twice. Supposedly Napolean said of a promising general "All this may be so, but is he lucky?" So far, so good. Also won a stage (with cleaning and road position) on Friday afternoon, so there is pace.

Thierry Neuville is a tough rally driver!
And king of the PowerStages with 5 PS wins this year
The feedback from the commentators is similar as here. Ironically they have closed the comment section on the driver ratings article. ...
