Looks like they didn`t slow down enough in virtual chicane and got additional time.

    That VC is a joke..

Haybails aren't best either, but at least they re not a gamble.. did I brake enough or no..

What is the penalty on proper stage, if driver don't do the VC correctly?

I have a feeling that Tänak isn’t showing his full cards at the shakedown like he did in 2022 when you compare his times with Lappi

Well, I assume the penalty should be the same as here. But yeah, I wonder how do drivers detect of they brake enough or not. Because if you lock up the wheels, the speed is 0. I think it is quite messy when you have to do it so quickly.

From what was explained, thee tracking box in the car tells them when they've slowed enough with the big green light.

so it's not THAT hard for a bunch of multi-million euro a year drivers to get right...

Are they the best drivers in the world or not?

Sami Pajari looked very comfortable. A little wide at one corner, but very impressive allround.

It does look like the future is bright for him. First hurdle passed.

The telemetry box tells them when they reached 60kph and it uses GPS, not the wheel sensors. The penalty is 2s for each km/h over the limit, so if they only slow down to 65km/h they get 10s added to the stage time.

Seems there were some issues with the official timing, nothing to do with the virtual chicane.
