Hyundai should have had Sordo in the car here and give Mikkelsen more tests and then gravel events.

I dont know if its onboard camera, but you can see Mikkelsen is really struggling with the car.
EDIT: Much better already on 2nd loop. Beating Fourmaux and not far from Katsuta.Last edited by Lead; 26th January 2024 at 14:10.

SS6 Mikkelsen: "It was better, the feeling is coming. Still a bit on the safe side, I can go a bit faster. But going in the right direction"
Mikkelsen time-loss per km for the fastest:
* SS1 1.57
* SS2 1.43
* SS3 1.64
* SS4 1.10
* SS5 1.65
* SS6 0.83

Sensible words from Fourmaux showing the right attitude and how he's matured.

Fourmaux seems nice and relaxed. Hopefully can keep it up and the car on the road

Tanak confirmed that Hyundai has solved the throttle issues he and his team-mates were battling last night.
He also revealed that he is feeling relatively comfortable in the upgraded i20 N on his competitive return with the brand following a year at M-Sport.
"This morning it [the car] has been running smooth," he said.
"It is actually quite comfortable, and I would say I'm 80%. It is driving quite nicely, and I'm relaxed.
"The last part I don't have yet it takes a bit more driving to get and understand the last push."#8 Ott Tänak - Martin Järveoja #8

I guess Mikkelsen has orders to get to the chessflag, and drive as a libero, to pick up points if others goes off.
He need ss km in the car to understand settings vs behavior and get the car under his skin before pushing 100%.
Lets see where he ends up speedwise when the process is done, if he get close to the top drivers or not.

Jon Armstrong is way more likeable IMO. Will probably be in WRC 2027 when the R5s are the top class
