Yes, he is (a bit too) slow, but I think in this situation is better just to crawl through and not do some heroics and crash out, losing opportunity to test and learn.

So, previously it was problematic, that it was in cruise mode on Sunday to save tires for PS. But now, if you have trouble or a mistake early on Friday, you going to cruise mode for Friday and Saturday to save tires for Sunday.

Another "strategy game" I see coming - if you are out of top 10 O/A and just can/want to collect points from Sunday, then there will be competition for collecting penalties to have the best start position for Sunday. (Note: I have not read the rules, maybe there is something against this)
