I know the conditions were awful but only lappi was slower than him and Mikkelsen faster#8 Ott Tänak - Martin Järveoja #8

Looking at the times, it seems to be so awful that it really was a lottery and the times are hardly representative. Katsuta is decent, but not 4s a km quicker than Rovanperä, not even for a quarter of a stage.
The same can be seen in circuit racing with crazy rain sometimes, drivers which are usually within a tenth or so of each other lap seconds apart.
