By the words of Ott this is not an engine issue per se but damage done by this compression.

Imho Ott's very low setup is the root of this cause

It was already seen on Harju stage that Ott was driving low car. Splitter was scraping through gravel.

definitely...if a rock can lift a car to roll, detach a wheel, etc, it's fair enough that a rock hit above 100km/h can easily brake parts that aren't supposed to be hit. (a little crack is enough to leak oil and set fire to engine bay)

But Rovampera is a monster - are we entering another Loeb-ish, Ogier-ish time in the world championship? Total dominance!
Agreed. I have mentioned many times here before that Ott likes to set up the car to be lower and this usually causes issues to the suspension and a few times to the sump guard

I believe other hit this rock as well but the impact wasn't such bad as the compression couldn't reach to mecahnical parts.

But as someone mentioned here, let's move on...

In Sardegna he landed quite heavily on nose.
In Portugal there was a massive rock in the middle of corner
In Wales it was also some low bad landing..?
