    Not really... the benefit he referred to was that he'd got an extra national rally of preparation before Estonia, compared to his rivals whose last event was Kenya, and hit the ground running. Now they're going straight from one fast gravel rally to another and there's no such advantage to be found.

    What about the constant repetition in Estonia that the surface in Finland is very different ? Plus Rovanpera did the local rally for a reason...

    In general I think it (Tänak not taking part in extra rally as PET for Rally Finland) was white flag in the championship context.

    If Tanak thought that, the local Finnish rally wouldn't give/improve anything, then why waste time..?
    Local Estonian rally helped for Rally Estonia, but didn't matter as fight for win was fkd up before start.
