Decent morning for Tanak in that he leads and has no car issues. But pulling just 4.7sec over Rovanpera is far from decisive.

I highly doubt he will ever have a breakthrough year. But he could still have a future in wrc, just look at sordo.

I mean nobody expects him to come to the level of Tänak, Rovanpera, Ogier or Evans. But breakthrough as consistent second or third driver is a big possibility and if he could bring a podium or 2 the "real way" on a real rally then next year could be good for him

Good rally so far, nice fight. I see people don't have faith in Lappi and Breen but they seem to be going well to me. Breen seems his old self again in this car.

Totally agree. The breakthrough isn't in terms of beating the recognised top dogs, but good enough not to be seen as Toyota's development driver.

He can earn himself a place in the team and be there for some years until the next generation of Japanese drivers gets to the point they can replace him.

Enjoyable to watch (even it's hard to keep serious face when listening the delivery) and I think a lot of guys should learn from her.

So what are the expectations for the afternoon loop

I have a feeling Breen will lead maybe at the end of the day. It all depends how much time he will gain with the first stage right away.

Tänak maybe could hold Rovanperä behind him but that also depends a lot of the first stage

    Will be interesting anyway
