Here we go again...

Winning stages even by huge margins (which this wasn't) is not what his aim should be in WRC2 (and not really in WRC either). He has shown already in 2019-20 that he can be fast on single stages.
It's connecting the fast stages to good results (first rally then championship) that should be the goal.

Puncture already in second stage of the season doesn't look promising. I would applaud him being 1-2 secs slower than fastest Rally2 cars and staying on podium more than this.

My sarcasm was, if you didn´t get it, over another sarcasm hinting about WRC3... or was that a serious quote?

Loubet had started SS4 well, but he backed out midway through, believing he had picked up a puncture.

Oliver is in Monte for one reson only, getting to know the new car. He will probably test different settings, to find the limit.

But it is always good with a stagewin under your belt!
