    yes, but still they have way fewer things to play with than the previous spec. don't think 16 wing mirror is more expensive than 16 combinations of winglets on a front bumper...

    anyway, it's the same as forever. who has money will find the way to spend it, even on a rally5.

    Your last part is spot on, no matter what price caps, regulations etc they put on. They who have money will always find a way to spend it

    Whatever parts are allowed on a car can be tweaked as much as you like. But there are fewer such aero parts permitted now on the hybrid cars to save costs both in development and in repairs.

    That's what happens when you give them limited room for development. The guy who used to design the diffuser will now be asked to design a more aerodynamic door handle or mirrors that create more downforce.

    There is no way to make rules that can save money, teams will always use all the money they can get.

    If MB had won the WDC and manus title, they wouldn't have put such pressure on FIA to do smth
