Great result for Tanak and Hyundai but the fact it wasn't Neuville means there's no increase in pressure on Rovanpera.
It seems the Manu title will be the only achievable target for Hyundai this season. Their drivers may now be instructed to drive accordingly.

Nice to see Tanak back!
PS: Sordo is really amazing. The most consistent driver of the championship.

I’m guessing once he saw he wasn’t comfortable with the car and he did mention a number of times that the car isn’t turning and isn’t doing what he wants, he just managed his pace and made sure he’d get to the end, and even pushed on the power stage and as a result came away with 14 points this weekend. If his rivals, A. had better (more reliable) cars and B. took that approach more often, when they see they don’t have the pace, then perhaps this year would’ve been a different story.
Besides Fourmaux, Evans was a bit disappointing this weekend, his driving reminded me more when he was back in M-Sport, too ragged, too scruffy. Back to Tanak for a second, this weekend felt like the first time ever since he left from Toyota like his old self, coming to the rally, fighting for the win, his rivals falter and then he comes and dominates the event with 10 stage wins; If the car now has the pace, I hope they get they’re reliability sorted out soon so we’ll get an emphatic battle in Estonia-Finland-Ypres, NZ (fingers crossed) & Catalunya.Only you know your true potential.

Rally Italia Sardegna 2022
At least: stop craving for longer rallies if tyre saving Sundays are a problem.

Regarding Kalle, it really is the tyres.
