460 something days of agony over finally

Almost in tears, feels like a first win again, brilliant drive this week. Reminded Toyota days

I’m so glad they manage to get that win. It’s been a long time coming! Also really happy for Breen & Paul for their second place.

Great rally from Tänak. He showed some masterclass here. Small minus that he wasn’t pushing in the power stage and lost points but on the other hand first win after Sweden 2021 and maybe he thinks WRC will be done already.

Breen was good. So was Sordo. Good pace during the rally but they drove slow Power Stage as always.

Loubet was surprisingly good. Interesting to see his performance in upcoming rallies.

Rovanperä looked like C class driver this weekend. Okay, starting position wasn’t good but he didn’t have pace here at all.

Greensmith and Katsuta performed as expected. Really slow. 😁

Neuville, Evans and Lappi drove too as expected. Quite fast but with many errors.

Formaux wants to drive WRC2 next year. Solid performance again to reach that target!

Finally the drought from 2021 has ended and Hyundai (& of course Tänak) are finally on that top step on the podium and making some headway in Toyota's lead, I really hope they can now start and develop (as much as possible) the car and get faster, in any case, they have now some basis to rely on. Still Rovanperä has a commanding lead but at least now 2 drivers are now on the hunt for him and his first spot. Clever rally by Rovanperä, never really felt comfortable with the car yet still managed to keep his nose clean, get 5th place and 4 points from the power stage so he actually extended his gap to Neuville to 55 points. I'm aware Neuville said he wasn't going to wait until everybody else falters, but in this case I think he was wrong, if he has any serious intentions about getting this year's championship, every point counts, and with Fourmaux's mistake yesterday he could’ve gotten 8 extra points from finishing 6th so at least he has a fighting chance when that car will be as reliable as that Toyota.

Good for Tanak, finally a win. But let's not forget he was extremely lucky for the 2 cancelled stages when he was having transmission troubles. If those stages weren't cancelled, we would be probably talking about once again how crap Hyundai's reliability is. But for once luck smiled to Tanak and he deserves it.
Rovanpera did what he had to do, with Finland and Estonia yet to come, he can cruise with no problems and extend his lead.
It makes me smile reading criticism of Neuville for not settling for yet another 5th-6th place or so, as if that would matter for the championship. Nobody driving a Hyundai can seriously challenge for the title this year. And probably not even Evans.
    Impressed by Loubet in 4th.
