Well, instead of gaining any points or not losing more than maybe a few, now he is going to lose a remarkable amount of points. If Kalle finishes 5th he is going to take another 8 points more. From power stage, I think they might take about the same amount so probably not that much difference.

But if he believes the fight for championship is over, then it doesn't matter. The lost kms matter for next season though. Personally I rhink Neuville hasn't given up so that mistake was another blow for his quest.
