Rally Italia Sardegna 2022
New route for Cala Flumini, while Tula, Monte Lerno, Monti di Ala and Coiluna Loelle keep changing like every year. Completely new shakedown.

I'm starting to prepare my schedule and searching some places with the onboard on WRC+.
Is there any info available of closed roads and parkings?
I had this info when I went to Germany in the past and this is a big help when making routes from one stage to another.
Can't seem to find this info on their website.
Thanks!

The years I went to sardinia, they used to upload maps of access roads to the stages and spectacle zones very close to the days of the rally ( less than one month if I remember properly).
If you have any questions about the spots don't hesitate to ask, if i can I will help.
Be ambitious with your planning!

Argentiera Power Stage is the place to be. I was there in 2017 (first WRC victory for Tänak), 2018 (Neuville beating Ogier with less than 1 second) and in 2019 (surprise victory for Sordo). This is probably one of the toughest Power Stages, especially last part around the beach with deep sand and loose rocks. But probably one of the most spectator friendly stage too were multiple options are available. The best part is on top of the hill (red color) were you can have multiple view of the cars going around the stage + finish. WRC Sardegna also means a whole lot of dust, it should not be underestimad at all. Being on top of hill means also mostly dust free + the sea breeze is really appreciated. But you can get closer to the action too if you wish for the 2nd pass by closely watching the wind direction. Added bonus is the beach which makes leaving after the rally a less pressing matter . Take care, this power stage has nothing to do with Argentiera, for navigating you need Porto Palmas, that is the name of the beach Argentiera Beach.jpg

Here is map of the final loop for the Argentiera Power Stage in 2022, the yellow marker is a larger open field used as public parking just a few hundred meters from the stage. As said before come early to avoid most of the traffic, I usually was already on the stage between 7:00 and 7:30 am, action begins around 9:00 amArgentiera parking.JPG

The Argentiera stage is also the SS closed to Alghero (if you are based there) with the most beautiful WRC service park scenery and background https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PKS-3VCWDus check 5:55 to 6:08 in the video: that is the fast downhill section towards the final beach road section, either depending the wind diretion you can sit close to the left or the right of this section. 6:47 to 7:30 gives you the view from the top of the hill when the cars are entering the final loop section of the stage (some corner are blocked from this view but most action can be seen until the finish)

At 19:15 Saturday, the FIA are announcing a new WRC event for 2025 at Sardegna. The event, I don't know - perhaps Paraguay.
