2022 FIA Rule Changes
The FIA rule changes are starting to be announced.
1. Q2 Tire rule dropped. Driver have free choice of tires
2. Tires heating rules are changed from 100 C (rear) and 80 c (front) to 70 C for front and back.
There should be more changes coming out in the coming days. It will be interesting if they address the inconsistency of enforcing track limits.

They have also changed to the "expedited" safety car restart rule and from the sound of things they will not wait until all lapped cars pass the leader always. They noted that this will be further clarified in coming weeks. I personally think they should just not let anyone unlap. The SC already removes all gaps any drivers had, but removing lapped drivers just makes it easier for those that haven't lapped them yet. If the leading cars, regardless of how many, had to pass a slower car on track to lap them..... why not the others? For a red flag condition it's different, as you are putting a slower car back in the field in a standing start/new first turn on fresh tires situation. To me that is far more likely to cause a collision or problem, but with a rolling start it shouldn't be a big deal.
A few testing changes as well.
Track limits should be a major change IMHO. They are enforced sometimes, others not much, and there has been next to nothing in consistency. And this has gone on for quite some time, to the point they have clarification statements track to track. Just make an easy to enforce rule, and enforce it. If there was not some type of lasting advantage to exceeding track limits, drivers wouldn't do it!

Indeed. So good to see a driver and team change a car so much for the better in service.
