Sébastien Loeb has just received a 5-minute penalty for breaking the speed limit in a restricted speed zone on the day’s special. The man from Alsace therefore drops down to eighth place in the classification for the day’s special. It is a pity for the BRX crew who had just managed to claw back a little more than 4 minutes on Nasser Al-Attiyah in the general rankings.

Only a disaster breakdown from Nasser in the last stage can give the victory to Seb.

Lategan wins today's stage in front of Peterhansel, Baragwanath and Loeb. Nasser loosing again some time to Seb, but taking a well deserved victory in Dakar 2022.
