Rovanperä also said to Finnish media that the rains have already cleaned the roads a bit, and in turn it brings up the rough bedrock earlier.

There hasn't been any decent rain in the last week. Only some minor on tuesday morning, but that won't make much difference.

Well I welcome tire choice uncertainty on gravel. Last years after Michelin introduced the "medium" tire (Finland 2017 or 2018?) were extremely boring.
