The hybrid boost supposedly is used only on stage starts and slow corner exits. Also the cars will not go as fast in all places as current WRC cars because of changes in aero, suspension and transmission. In a way they will be closer to Group B cars with high power but more primitive chassis.

People. That´s me in this case.
And yes conclusions are allowed, don´t you think.
And I watched rallycars for ages, and yes I stand for what I´m saying.
What I didn´t know about is suspension travel. Has it been shortened for 2022, you say AnttiL?
I also wonder about min weight, is it still 1200 kgs with 200 kgs of batterypack?"Reis vas pät pat kaar vas kut"

I'm happy enough from looking at the videos. The noise and drama look to be still there and that's what I loved when watching it live.
Sure it looks a little bit slower at the moment but this is very early days and it doesnt look bad/sound at all. I'd say come the start of next year these will be almost as good as the 2017 cars to watch and for me thats all I was hoping for, once its not a huge step back I'm satisfied.
Nothing will beat watching WRC cars driven at full chat, Ive seen the 2litre (2007+), 1.6 and the latest machines and every one has been amazing, particularly the 17 WRCs.
Looking forward to seeing these in anger in 2022 in Northern Ireland/Finland if all goes to plan!

This is from a FIA newsletter in 2020
Transmission:
- 4WD, five-speed transmission very similar in concept to the current Rally2 rules
- Simple level type differential, no centre differential, only one kinematic drive train
- A maximum of six transmission units per car per year permitted
Suspension:
- Reduced wheel travel
- Simplified dampers with reduced scope for homologation upgrades
- Hubs, hub carriers and anti-roll bar designs will be simplified
- Only one specification of wishbone mandated
Running gear:
- Liquid brake cooling no longer allowed
Fuel tank:
- Simplified shape
Aerodynamics:
- Free volume bodywork area to enable aggressive design maintained
- Aero effect from hidden ducts removed
- Rear aerodynamic advice simplified

Wrong button, intended to Reply not to Like but anyways.
You were not even the first one to make "conclusions"
Conclusions based on what? First outing of a mule car? You can conclude what you like but it doesn't give any clearer picture. It's quite pointless when cars are not driven even close to their potential.
But hey, it's a free world
