You were wrong, either on purpose or you didn't remember, now you trying to go around it. Mikkelsen was indeed "gifted" first win by Ogier crashing. Similarly Mikkelsen "gifted" Ogier win in Sweden 2015 just 9 months before by going in the snowbank on last stage.
In 2016 he was clearly faster than Latvala.
Note that first full season in WRC was in VW in 2014 (and part of 2013) at that point Latvala was on his 7th and 8th WRC season, Ogier on 5th and 6th and two times world champion.

Jari-Matti Latvala
@JariMattiWRC
The drivers and the team did an excellent job today! This was my first proper day at the office and I really enjoyed it
I feel more nervous to follow the race compared to the time I was driving myself! That’s a new thing!

Tomorrow will be a very short day unfortunately, with the bulk of the stages already through. Sunday will have one additional stage (4) but even less mileage than tomorrow.
I miss the longer rallies that we had, even just a couple years ago!

It seems weird that the bulk of the stages are on Friday, when many people have work, and they shorten Saturday when those people have a day off to watch.
There must be a reason for this. Can anyone explain?

Has to be Toyota then. Don't understand the waiting from Ott's side if he wants to drive. And as Toyota is waiting for it's announcement and Cyril is urging to Tänak to sign or pick up his option...
