I've been lucky enough to sit in the passenger seat of an older WRC car and this video comes closest to capturing what it feels like.
Incredible footage.
I really hope rallying can use camera work like this to bring new fans in.

I believe it is a safety issue and also the reason why we only see helmet cams from tests. Guess it would be approved only, if the camera is part of the helmet and not attached onto the helmet.

What's the point with the black center of the rims? Don't think I have seen that before.

Reminds me of the black cooling things on Lancia Delta, but this does not seem to be for cooling.

we have seen that at citroen wrc cars.Probably to keep clean the rim bolts from mud and debris.

Sorry to be boring, but FIA thinks it's not safe to put cameras on the helmets, or even on the seats.

Also if you think the helmet camera would be streamed online, it means there would have to be a cable attached to it (not just recording on a memory card) which would be another safety issue if the driver has to exit the car quickly.
