    Tänak has now nothing to loose on PowerStage - he need points, if he don't get maximum, is game over anyway. Additionally he is not driving for manufacturer points, no pressure from there also.

    but if he bins it then it is 100% game over.

    with two rounds? to go theres still 60 points up to grab. Although yes, its more theoretical chance for him.

    Last year Sordo won it a bit as gift due to Tänak's powersteering problems. Hopefully this year he can take it purely by his own. And it's not taken away by team orders.
