Tänak has now nothing to loose on PowerStage - he need points, if he don't get maximum, is game over anyway. Additionally he is not driving for manufacturer points, no pressure from there also.

Last year Sordo won it a bit as gift due to Tänak's powersteering problems. Hopefully this year he can take it purely by his own. And it's not taken away by team orders.
