 Ott Tänak talks about his retirement from Rally Turkey

 We caught up with the Hyundai man following his early exit in today's opening test...

 "We had some kind of steering issue, but we do not know what yet. The car is still in the forest and we have to wait until it gets back to the service park. There was no warning, it was quite instant. It should not be a big worry to repair the car for tomorrow."

 Asked about his title hopes, he said:
 "It's not a positive so there is nothing too much to comment."

 Tanak aside not much drama or attrition so far. The stages dont seem as rough as predicted with plenty of smooth fast sections. Very attractive to watch.

 It seems like Loeb is bit more sideways at some places than it would be optimal?

 EDIT: he confirmed at stage end that he made few small mistakes

 Ruben Perez
 @RubnPerez
 Abandonment of one of the teams entered in # WRC2.

 Eyvind Brynildsen and Ilka Minor are out of the race after suffering a puncture on SS5.

 They had no more spare wheels left on the car since before that stage they changed one of them. #WRC

 Brynildsen's bolts had snapped, probably from overtightening after changing the puncture earlier in the stage "Die with memories, not with dreams" Scott McIsaac
