    Yes, very very tragic accident.

    No definite details are known, one version I've read is that the armco barrier entered the car and hit him in the chest... he had no chance whatsoever to survive. They stopped the rally immediately and had a gathering and remembering at the site of the SSS with all the crews, mechanics and marshals.
