Was this the stage with the drama last year? Incredible time from Meeke, Ogier puncture and Lappi crash + red flag helping Ogier?

yes, but the ending is changed so the corner where Lappi went off is omitted.

Yes, I suppose it could be that simple. Evans is a bit the reverse, he didn’t seem to gel with the hybrid car, but looks back to his pre-hybrid level now its gone. Only Kalle knows if he is motivated...
