Only one I saw was Friday morning with Becs, just as the cars were leaving service before SS1. Not seen or heard any others since rally got underway

The top three is pretty settled then, Rovanpera/Lappi/Neuville and the R5 battle will be more interesting.

Man, how many times Elfyn was in this position until now. If he doesn't win this, I don't know what universe is against him...

Elfyn Evans of Toyota has been completely dominant in the Swedish World Rally. The Welshman is just one special away from the second World Cup win of his career.

The Swedish Rally has been driven by eight special stages, with Evans driving as many as five times. Evans, who moved from M-Sport Ford to Tommi Mäkinen to lead the Toyota WRC team this season, leads the race with 17.2 seconds ahead of reigning world champion Ott Tänak.

    - We are now in a similar situation to last year, when Tänak drove his own race and others followed. Now the car is the same, but the driver is different, Mäkinen told Rally.f.

    - Elfyn has a very good feeling in the car, he has no need to do anything but focus on driving. He hasn't touched any adjustments in the car throughout the race, Mäkinen mumbled

Mäkinen revealed that Evans had made changes to his driving style for the Swedish World Rally. And it has produced results.

    - In tests, Elfyn's driving style was quite different. We took the view that driving should be slightly revised. We went through that very carefully. And it sank quickly - PAM! He immediately changed his driving style, Mäkinen described.

Evans will rise to the top of the World Series if he clears Sunday's only special stage without extra program. Toyota's new star can even fight for the championship this season.

    - I could think of her as one of her biggest champion favorites. He is good at all gravel races and he is also very good on asphalt. His confidence is growing all the time.

Evans had already made promising passes in Ford's wheel, but the start of the season for Toyota has been incredibly good. In the season opener in Monte Carlo, Evans fought for victory, but eventually finished third.

    - Everybody on the team is pretty lips round how he can drive so hard, Mäkinen was amazed.

Toyota has good buns in the oven in Sweden, with six-time world champion Sebastien Ogier third and WRC newcomer Kalle Rovanperä fourth. Rovanperä is only half a second away from the Ogierista, and the Toyota duo struggling with each other instead of the prize last Sunday Power Stage

Thanks a lot for your answers and for the "combination", sounds convincing. Very interesting. Well, we'll see, what happens on Sunday. Specially the game for the third position looks promising. Nice to trace!
