Did Tanak throw Toyota under the bus for all the reliability issues that his car suffered, preventing him to get deserved wins? Is Ogier bashing Citroen for the C3 poor handling? Real champs usually don't blame their teams in the worst moments; that's a sensible way to motivate the staff around them to do a better job. Others simply can't deal with frustration and get vocal in ways that hardly will help them.

Plus the 1980s rally fan-base was massive and many of them stayed with the sport after being hooked by the Gr B cars, even after they were banned.
