Kubica and Kimi both did quite a lot of miles in lower class cars before stepping up to a World Rally Car, which maybe as this video shows would be a wise choice.

I haven't seen a single vid from Panzerplatte/Baumholder this year and at least I think Hyundai said they were going to test there, very likely others too.

Did teams already test there and nobody could come in (unlike previous years?) or will they do it this weekend? (kinda late though)
