Same weird story as Max Rendina’s Fabia R5 that was stolen in Greece during Acropolis Rally 2017...

Another VW Polo R5 failure?
After unexpected problems in Argentina Kajto decided to withdraw his entry from Rally Chile. His fight for victory in Rally Argentina was scuppered by a failure. Problems with the car, not related to the company which prepares and services the car, need to be resolved.
- I decided that we will take part in one of the forthcoming rallies when the car manufacturer provides safe and permanent solutions to genuine problems - says Kajto.
More details at Kajto's website:

Crikey. Shows how difficult it is to build a good R5 car when even VW, with all their WRC success, struggle with reliability problems.

Could it be that all those teams and drivers, who were placing orders for Polos R5 before it was even homologated, were buying a pig in a poke?

Just slow on Tarmac as they have been (pretty much) from MC last year.
