Ogier is not a six-time World Champion for nothing. He never gives up, is ruthless and will fight like a hyena for every possible little advantage that he can gain, both on the stage and off it. I like that. He has more F1 mentality than the usually more gentlemanly WRC drivers. Especially after the VW time this trait has really come to the fore big time, when he has to really fight hard for his titles. Loeb is still the greatest for me, but let's keep in mind Ogier has packed six in a row in an era that is far more competitive than Loeb's Championship years were. If the Age of Sebs ends before Ogier retires, whoever ends it will have really had to work for it.

I would say, that Ogier has met similar competition to Loeb`s in the current generation only, whereas Loeb had the likes of Märtin, Grönholm, Hirvonen, Sainz, Mcrae, Mäkinen and others to compete with...so yeah, makes sense, if you switch the names.

Latvala was always a worthy competitor to Ogier, even if he either crashed himself or had the car crash him out of his VW campaigns.

Loeb mostly had competition from Gronholm and Hirvonen, while the rest were quite old already (and Martin retired very early on).
