If you are talking about Meeke`s Portugal crash, then i can`t see any similarities. Quite different situatuions also, one being a direct hit with a large tree and otherone...

Lappi explained in a Finnish interview that it was the spectators' luck that the car bounced off the bank and rolled on the road, but in turn that wrecked the car badly
