I thought I'd say hi while everyone is waiting for the start of the season tomorrow. After almost a year of lurking I decided to sign up here and also take a chance at the pickems.

I guess I'm a guy who some would consider "not a real rally fan" I used to follow the sport as a youngster back in the Märtin-Mäkinen-Grönholm-McRae days. Then came the years of domination by one driver and I gradually lost interest. Until. A few years ago, I discovered that some of the stages were broadcasted live on tv. I started watching again. Last year I was watching Montes friday highlights on Estonian TV and was absolutely appalled at the lack of quality of the voiceover. I figured that there had to be a possibility to watch the original show in english and to my surprise discovered it was possible to watch all the stages live. Signed up for the free month and although the quality was very poor for the first 2 rallies, I was completely sucked in. Many wasted weekends behind my TV later I can say I now have a much better grasp of the sport and its rules than I ever did before.

My wish for 2019, apart for Tänak's victory (Come on, you all saw my location ), is to have an even fight right up until the last rallies.

As for Monte, my mind says Ogier will triumph but my heart says Ott will take the win. Lets see which is right...

Looked up betting odds for fun:

Tanak 3
Ogier 3.25
Loeb 6
Neuville 7.5

I find it a bit inconsistent that they rank Ogier behind Tanak but at the same time put Loeb ahead of Neuville when both are in very similar situation.

Welcome back! I have a similar history, following closely throughout the 90's and then dropping out at early 00's and returning in 2017. I guess we just skipped the boring years and now got back when the action is better than ever.

I don't agree with N.O.T often but you really did miss out on some great driving if you didn't watch some years of Loeb. It's worth revisiting just to see his magnificent technique.
