2019 pick'ems
If anybody is interested in competing against others in rally predictions there is a great site for this:
www.splithut.com/pickems
You have to drag and drop your predicted top10 pilots. For each correct hit you get points. And the points are given as follows:
If you get the rally winner correct, you get 10 points.
For the second place hit correctly, you get 9 points.
Third -> 8
4 -> 7
5 -> 6
6 -> 5
7 -> 4
8 -> 3
9 -> 2
10 -> 1
And for each pilot you put in your top 10 that actually made it to top 10 you get 1 extra point. It doesn't matter if their position is exactly correct.
And when the rally is finished the points are calculated automatically. You can see how you or your friend did by clicking on their name or the rally score. Correct hits are displayed in green.
Hope to see you guys around and make 2019 a fun season!
PS. Could be that at the end of the season the winner will get an award!

I would prefer the one and only Pickems, the one used for years here at Motorsportforums.

That seems like a lot of work to me. That's why we created Splithut, let that do the work.
In addition to the system calculating the points for you we are adding filters so you can see how you position within your country. And also a name filter with multiple entries, so you can see a smaller group of people (soon we will add a group system instead of the name filtering).
So basically we are trying to create something that makes rally an even more fun experience. It's a work in progress this is only the beginning.

I'll most probably join that one, IF there isn't a regular one on this forum...

I started Pickems for RMC. I Think we had some 70 lads guessing… But we still miss someone who can do the job for Points...

If someone can figure out how to convert the entries from that thread into a single data file, I could rather easily create an excel spreadsheet for calculating the results. The data file could be for example something like this:
Participant1 1 Ogier 2 Tänak 3 Meeke 4 Latvala 5 Neuville 6 Loeb 7 Lappi 8 Evans
Participant2 1 Ogier 2 Tanak 3 Lappi 4 Loeb 5 Latvala 6 Neuville 7 Evans 8 Meeke
Participant3 1 Tanak 2 Ogier 3 Meeke 4 Loeb 5 Lappi 6 Neuville 7 Mikkelsen 8 Suninen
Etc…
Of the top of the head I cannot figure out how to get that done automatically, doing it by hand requires more time than I would be willing to contribute. I could handle creating the excel and posting the results from that point on. Unless of course someone would be willing to share an already working (automated?) spreadheet.

When I go to WRC event, I want to see the best drivers as always. If I want to see some national drivers, I can go to some other less popular event.. Just simple.
