I know it’s not exactly a proper rally, but for Rossi to be beating a works WRC driver in ‘his’ car is seriously impressive.

There has been a lot of debates on this forum (and in pub's discussions...) over Rossi's skills at Autodromo Monza. One is for sure-this is no rally; it is a circuit racing, with some obstacles & artificial chicanes (I was many time participing it). But anyway-they are sitting in pure rally cars and man would expect, that one werks-driver (or one Italian rally star, like Perico / speaking just for drivers driving WRC cars on this event) wolud be much faster than Rossi, not to mention Cairoli or Salucci, who are here just for fun....
I don't know how is feeling for example Suninen, who is already half minute behind Rossi....beenig a M-Sport driver and loosing time on tarmac against ''nobody'' like Rossi, can not be something proud of it....
On the other hand, this is a 100% proof, that modern WRC cars are very easy to drive on this kind of stages, with some training you can beat top rally stars....so, hat down in front of Valentino.
Enough of fastest guys-Polo R5 must be awesome car (with plenty of power/in this event power is Nb.1 fact) as young Alex Re is fighting with Rosseti. And gives me tears in eyes, when I see gap from 11x times Italian champion behind Re...P208 R5 is really piece of crap....the car is mature for a museum.
