Sadly there is no real race. The thing is that usually nobody from WRC2 cares about non-registred drivers and nobody can blame them for that. There is simply no reason to risk anything in a virtual fight with someone who doesn't take points. Henning is not the first one to be ahead of them and not the first one who will be simply ignored.

Re: punctures, are tyres R5 boys use less puncture resistant? Or are problems occurring for them because roads are more churned up further down the order?

Tyre used by R5 is at least 1kg lighter then those Wrc tyres - difference is in steel wires quantity inside, so there is strenght difference

Havent been following... bit Citroen's despite having major road advantage.. implode again. can someone do the calcs on how many punctures the team has had in relation to others?

He got two punctures in the first stage of the loop. So it's surely game over

Did he? It's Kopecky punctured 2 front tyres and change it on stage. With Tidemand happen a same? I thought he pucntured only one tyre on SS5

Yes, both changed two wheels at once on SS5 (took about 3 minutes for both). Then Tidemand had a third puncture on SS6, tried to continue but retired on SS7

45 years old an first tim in WRC 2 and now 10 total in Turkey and leading WRC 2 clases with more an 3 minuts. Never seen Henning in Skoda before, but he has so far driven from all WRC 2 drivers. Then we can not say that WRC 2 riders are ready to run WRC top class. It was his second-hand Ilka Minor who has arranged the drive and possibly a car. It was not from Skoda Motorsport factory, I think. And her is his stage results:
9 on 1 stage
1 on 2 stage
4 on 3 stage
2 on 4 stage
1 on 5 stage
1 on 6 stage
1 on 7 stage

Let’s not get carried away, if Henning was leading Kopecky and Tidemand by three minutes after one day on a ‘normal’ rally I would say Citroen should forget about trying to sign Ogier and go for the old man..
