I would bet You get more spectators and better atmosphere among them on most of city stages than on whatever SSS and You get plenty of drifting and action there too. You can even do these stupid spinning around roundabouts or haybales if You like but for me this is a thing which shall have never ever appeared in rallying except some prologues where there is no time measured.
There are basically three and simple reasons against - any city stage is usually much harder to organize, much less suitable for hosting the army of VIP people and You can't usually ask any entry fee there.Stupid is as stupid does. Forrest Gump

The SSS was incredibly crowded. Many many thousands of people were attending. Very smart move from the organizers to install 2 meters high fences so we were obliged to see through the squares of the iron fence...
I was frustrated, it looked like prison. They could have installed 1 or 1,5 meters high fences so we could see normally as it happens all over the world.
