Meeke has already been criticized for years for taking far too many risks, and I suspect he is on his way out of the sport after this year. He would be crashing no matter how unstable the cars were in the corners. Again, the only question is whether he crashes at 50 mph or 120 mph.
Incentives matter. This is apparently a very difficult concept for people to wrap their heads around. Please try to imagine yourself competing. Purely in terms of safety, would you prefer to compete in a series in which suspension travel (and therefore cornering speed) was relatively limited, or one in which it was free?Last edited by sonnybobiche; 20th May 2018 at 11:13.
