Brilliant morning by Ogier despite the road sweeping.

Strange Paddon talking of tyre wear - Ogier said the extra sand put down would mean tyre wear wouldnt be an issue here.

It is probably down to driving styles, Ogier is the best in the business managing tyres while Paddon likes to slide a bit more.

It should be easy to see if the rocks were there for the previous cars.

Sometimes the flipside of the sweeping for early cars is reduced tyre wear from lower grip, and later cars can get more wear from having more bare rock underneath.

At least one of the rocks was there when Neuville went through. He passed to the inside of it (and maybe dislodged some other rocks?).
