Shame that for Tanak and the team, sheer bad luck it seems. Thats the kind of thing that usually affects Meeke.

Championship could've looked more congested at the top between 4 drivers, had Tanak not had bad luck that was out of his control in Mexico and now here (unless this retirement was his mistake? I've not seen it yet but it sounds car related again). And had Meeke not had two podiums taken away due to the co driver error in corsica and the unavoidable puncture in Argentina.
Shame, but the Toyota cannot be trusted despite the clear speed they have. If Seb and Neuville get decent to good finishes here it'll be hard for Tanak to catch Seb considering how consistently quick the champion is.

I agree with your logic here. We saw very well last year how Toyota did with just Evans and Katsuta being full time drivers. They lost the drivers title and only won the manufacturer title...
