SAT 12:18 - TÄNAK RETIREMENT UPDATE:
"The stages seemed to have more grip than yesterday and I was feeling comfortable this morning. Then 7km before the end of SS11 we lost all drive and the turbo had failed. This is the way the sport is. I'm happy that we were competitive on our first gravel event with the team."

So Bulacia nowhere near impressive. I'd hoped he'd beat Heller. I find it funny too that wrc.com pipped him and Kalle Rovanperä to battle it out for top youngster honors. Kalle is on a completely different level.

 Sébastien Ogier
"Still trying to push as much as we can. I'm happy, I've done a very clean loop. Being 4th on the road it was a bit better. We managed to catch some seconds so it's still open but it's hard to recover the time lost yesterday. We'll see, 15s is not a lot... but still it's a lot!"

It's actually surprising how little has changed in Mexico since last year.

Citroen had no technical issues and was fast => Citroen has no issues and is fast
Ford had minor overheating issues and was fast => Ford has no overheating issues and is fast
Hyundai had overheating issues and fuel issues and was medium-fast => Hyundai has fuel issues and powersteering (also multiple times last year) and is fast but seemingly not fastest.
Toyota had brake and engine issues and was slow => Toyota has engine issues and is not fastest.

Just watching the Red Bull TV replay of El Brinco - great pictures and to be able to see the different lines the driver's take so clearly in that gravel.

Wedged Between Hamilton and Max, Leclerc ‘Just Prayed’ in Mexico. Charles Leclerc didn’t dress it up. The opening seconds of the Mexican Grand Prix were not fun, not brave, not heroic. They were...
