Nah. World champions have always had to deal with cleaning the road on opening day. It's just we have such great strength in depth throughout the WRC now, that 10/11 drivers are previous winners and can take advantage of lots of cleaning.

At the end of the season the best driver will win the championship, regardless

Yes, rallying, not something for small children, where you can`t allow one to be better and have to treat them equally. Stop whining.
At the moment it is rallying on paper/ in rules book, Ogier would`ve been better staying at home.

Agree. Ogier has done road cleaning several years now, and still managed to be champion five times.

Everybody was so excited over these snowy conditions coming up the weeks before RS. And now we even see forumers whining about too much snow? Just go to racing if you like. This is rallying.

Aside of being seen as something girlish from F1 what is exactly the problem about qualification? It works fine in other championships and it's fair and square.

The time gaps after 6th place are insane! It's good to see Suninen doing well and Lappi battling at the very top! Could pip him for the win now.

Ogier is in a very tough situation right now with massive time loss. Evans doing no better despite his road position. Excited to see Latvala overtake Tanak on the afternoon loop, and Katsuta in the WRC2 lead!

Remember that Evans had a puncture, but he was still quite off the pace in the morning.
