But I think he can't perform well when not everything is to his liking, which was the case at Mitsubishi and Peugeot with the whale. Going to Mitsubishi was the biggest mistake in his career. Tom all these are well known,but the fact is that while he was with very strong financial backing, for plenty of years,at championship winning works teams/cars he won nothing.

So that means that counts only if you win championship? Or some rallies... If some guys didn't won either of that and bring some valuable points to the team that doen't mean anything??

Well, outside of Acropolis 99,I can't recall any time that Loix matched Makinen through their 3 years as team mates. And he was away from Marcus in 2004. Maybe his Safari crash in 1999 had a bad influence on his career.

yes if you are for 15 years with works teams and won nothing,you did nothing.

He did already 4WD WRC events in 1996. He didn't finish 2nd until in Portugal 1997 where almost all works drivers retired. Two podiums in 1998 with good performances, but after that, lots of crashing and being off the pace.

Cyprus 2000 maybe too, he won 2 stages if I remember well, but was hindered by mechanical problems and a roll so finished about 8th.

It's behind a paywall but apparently this article says that Camilli and Suninen will both run R5 cars on the Monte.
